How did you execute the project with the contemporary theme?
Grey is a predominant colour used in the master bedroom. Here, two of the walls had light grey colour scheme and the other two walls were done in charcoal grey hue. To add a contemporary vibe to the interiors, the wardrobe was highlighted with stone finish laminate and shutters were done in light grey colour. Mirror with hues inspired by Victorian style like copper gold coloured frames enhances the bedroom beautifully.
For the furnishings, we used pastel blue colour on the curtains and combined it with sheen effect in the master bedroom. This feature spruces up the space instantly. To add a matching effect, we followed the similar colour scheme on the bed like brown and pastel blue stripe design. Similarly, the side storage has been decked up with stone finish laminate. The Victorian theme inspiration has been carried forward in the furniture as well.
Tell us about the styling of the guest bedroom?
For the guest bedroom, we have used a colour scheme of violet and white. Appropriate furniture to make the guest comfortable and to cater to their needs, we have placed a small work table and bed here. To utilize the space from a functional point of view, we made a sink in the balcony as there was ample empty space in this area and we didn’t wish to waste the same.
Could you mention the different features used to enhance the living area?
For the living area, we used a light brown and coffee colour scheme. The television unit was purchased from outside. We added horizontal grooves and highlighted it with a backlit feature. This gives a unique charm to the space. As you enter, you will find blown glass lighting fixtures near the entrance. This pendant light and the brown colour tainted blown glass light fixture gives a distinct feel to the space.
What theme have you used for the dining and kitchen area?
For the dining area, we have added rafters on the ceiling. To enhance the dining area further, there are small spotlights added on the rafters in the dining area. The crockery unit was attached to the bar unit storage. This unit has glasses etc. stored in it.
The client wanted an open theme for the kitchen. To execute the requirement, we broke down the wall and added bar stools here. The space on the opposite side was used to accommodate a breakfast table. The brown and coffee colour scheme was continued in the kitchen as well. As the kitchen was near the passage and there was very little space for dining, we pushed the platform inside and created storages and dining table with the space acquired by cutting down the wall.
